Merry Meet everyone!  It has been quite some time since our blog as seen some action.  Unfortunately, this has been due to a string of illnesses and important life events among our members.  But we're back!!!

This past Saturday, our group came together in celebration of Ostara.  This year, we applied our crafty skills to hard boiled eggs and wooden suns.  RavenRayne provided yummy carrot spice and also pineapple cup cakes.  I for one left with dyed fingers, and a satiated sweet tooth.  Comment and let us know how you celebrated Ostara!
------
We look forward to next month's Open Monthly meeting. This means non-members are invited to get to know us better while we learn more about our guests, too.

Our meeting is scheduled for April 20th at Cameron's Cafe at 12 noon to 2 pm.  If you are interested, please contact us in advance: mailto:[email protected].

Brightest Blessings.  We look forward to meeting other like-minded individuals and growing as a group.

Come join us tomorrow, October 6, 2012 at Rockbridge State Park for the 2012 Mid-Missouri Pagan Pride Day!!!  We really would like to meet you.  It doesn't matter if you are a witch, a Pagan, questioning, eclectic or curious.  All are welcome.

Drakmar will be selling her tantalizing, relaxing, and sometimes delicious smelling candles.  Look for jewelry and other items.  Drakmar will also be doing Tarot readings for a donation, but the donation is not necessary.

Come see the cutest and most fun fairy skirts and kids wands imaginable.  RavenRayne has worked hard on these projects.  She loves kids and is a kid at heart.

Raedice will be selling jewelry, hand-painted incense bottles, and homemade drawstring bags.  There's something for everyone.

We hope to see you tomorrow.

Today, we find a balance between the light and the dark. This is a time of hope, rebirth and renewal, a time of fertility, to sow seeds. This is a time of year that has been historically celebrated within a variety of cultures.

As Spring begins, take time to notice the Nature's changes around you.   Also, take this opportunity to create your own new beginnings.  If you choose, you can plant a garden or get in a bit of Spring Cleaning.

A blessed Ostara/Spring Equinox/Vernal Equinox/First Day of Spring to all!

Sacred Soul - Path to Sacred Self

Where: Unity Church 1600 West Broadway, Columbia MO
When: Saturday February 25 at 10 until Sunday February 26 at 4ish.

This course will teach you to integrate these aspects of yourself!

This course provides an unfailing light to illuminate your sacred path with an unfailing Light!
According to the Webster's Merriam Dictionary the soul is:

... the immaterial essence, animating principle, or actuating cause of an individual life
the spiritual principle embodied in human beings, all rational and spiritual beings, or the universe
a person's total self
an active or essential part

It is Definition 3 that we are going to focus on in this course.

So, what is the total self?
Spirit
Mind
Faith
Emotion
Body

When all of these are in balance a person is better able to make decisions, maintain boundaries, and be emotionally stable. Notice that I say emotionally stable, not happy all the time. Emotion is important. It is only important to make appropriate decisions with your emotions – not allow your emotions to control you. More on this later.

Think of a small stick, maybe a sapling branch that has fallen down in a strong wind. If you pick it up it can be easily bent and possibly broken. However, add two more branches of same size and it is a little harder, now add two more and it is very difficult to break. In fact, the difference in force required to break this collection of small sticks is not in proportion to the individual size and weight of the sticks. It's kind of like a telephone book, individually the pages are easy to rip, not the entire book.
Therefore, when all five of these aspects are in balance and working together as a collection of branches. It is very difficult to break them apart, which results in bad decisions, (as you define them), emotional upheaval, and physical ailments.

This course will teach you to integrate these aspects of yourself!

This course provides an unfailing light to illuminate your sacred path with an unfailing Light!
